Welcome to Celer Athletics LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure experience on our website (https://www.celerathletics.com) and while using our applications, including our flagship dugout analytics and scoring platform, PitchSeque, and our upcoming fitness applications (collectively, the “Apps”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information. By accessing or using our Services, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect & Hardware Usage
To deliver high-fidelity tactical baseball scoring, custom spray charts, and real-time watchOS companion features, PitchSeque requests access to specific device frameworks. We process this data locally whenever possible to maximize performance and security.
A. Microphone & Audio Processing (Voice Staging)
PitchSeque features a “Hold to Talk” voice recognition interface designed for hands-free dugout entry. When you interact with this feature, the App accesses your device’s microphone to capture audio data.
Processing Policy: Audio data collected via the microphone is converted to text instantly using local, on-device speech-to-text frameworks. We do not record, store, transmit, or share your raw audio files, voice recordings, or ambient dugout sounds on our servers or with any third-party service providers.
B. CoreBluetooth Framework (Background Device Synchronization)
PitchSeque utilizes Apple’s CoreBluetooth framework to establish and maintain an always-on data pipeline between the iOS device in the dugout and companion watchOS targets (Apple Watch).
Data Flow: This background connection is used strictly to sync game data, update live pitch counts (Balls, Strikes, Outs), and transmit tactical sign codes. This data synchronization runs locally over low-energy bluetooth channels. We do not track user location via Bluetooth, nor do we monitor secondary peripheral devices.
C. watchOS Haptic Engine Integration
Our companion Apple Watch application incorporates native watch haptic engines to securely communicate sign signals directly to players or coaches via unique, rhythmic tactile vibrations.
Privacy Boundary: Haptic interaction sequences are executed purely locally on the wearable hardware. No telemetry data, vibration history, or tactical configuration profiles are stored or shared externally.
D. Dynamic Data & Spreadsheet Exports
PitchSeque packages compiled game analytics, player roster details, hitter splits, and historical pitch counts into clean spreadsheet files (Excel/CSV format) for tryouts, player evaluations, and season tracking. These data sheets are generated locally on your device and are entirely under your control; they are only shared or uploaded when you explicitly initiate an export action.
E. Account & Upcoming VBT Platform Data
For users utilizing our cross-platform account registries or exploring our upcoming pipeline applications (such as our Velocity-Based Training and fitness modules), we may collect basic account details (name, email address, or third-party credential flags like Apple Sign-In). Advanced motion metrics derived from device sensors (accelerometer/gyroscope) used for physical coaching algorithms are managed strictly in compliance with Apple’s core privacy protocols and are never sold to data brokers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we process for the following functional purposes:
- To Provide Core Features: Mapping 17-zone pitch matrices, rendering custom vector flight path trajectories on spray charts (grounders, line drives, fly balls, and high-crested popups), and instantly compiling tryout metrics.
- To Sync Ecosystems: Keeping your iPhone dugout station and Apple Watch companion glancers perfectly aligned in real time.
- Algorithmic Improvements: Optimizing local voice staging accuracy and tactile delivery consistency without expanding our remote storage footprint.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We maintain a strict zero-monetization policy regarding user data. We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information, audio data, baseball telemetry, or health metrics. We disclose information only to secure cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Firebase, AWS) to manage account architecture where explicitly required, or if compelled by public legal authorities.
4. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable, industry-standard cryptographic practices to shield your configuration data and account states. Because PitchSeque operates primarily on-device to survive low-connectivity dugout environments, your local device security settings form a vital layer of this protection.
5. Your Rights and Account Deletion
You retain complete ownership over your team records and rosters. You may delete your account and clear all associated data points at any time directly through the Apps’ settings panel or by submitting a written request to our support desk. Upon deletion, your cloud data hooks are permanently expunged from our active operational servers.
6. Children’s Privacy & Youth Sports Safety
While PitchSeque is built for deployment in high-performance youth dugouts, the software is designed exclusively for operation by adult coaches, managers, leagues, and parents. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children under the age of 13. If you believe a player under 13 has inadvertently entered personal identifiers into our system without guardian consent, please notify us immediately.
